This limited release was born from a collaboration with Honeygirl Meadery, Durham, NC. Honeygirl used one of our freshly dumped Heart barrels to age an award-winning wildflower honey apple Cyser for 6 months and returned the cask. We refilled it with three-year Heart of Mystic bourbon and tucked it into the rick house for an additional 28 months of aging. The mead barrel finish imparts floral, honeycomb, and apple notes to our bourbon, culminating in one of the most unique spirits we have ever released.
