December 5, 1933. Prohibition was repealed in the United States with the passage of the 21st Amendment to the United States Constitution.
To commemorate this milestone, we created Remus Repeal Reserve. This 2023 limited edition bourbon leads with aromas of caramelized pecans and candied cherry, with a hint of plum and peppermint. This initial taste includes rich caramel and candied raisin, followed by cinnamon and barrel char, with slight vanilla and brown sugar. This finish offers intense cinnamon and peppermint spice, with lingering notes of vanilla, caramel, and oak. In short, Remus Release Reserve is the best we make. Or as Remus himself might have said, “some damn giggle water.” Enjoy!
Remus Repeal Reserve Series VII is comprised of 6% 2007 Bourbon (21% Rye), 26% 2013 Bourbon (21% Rye), 26% 2013 Bourbon (36% Rye), 21% 2014 Bourbon (21% Rye) and 21% 2014 Bourbon (36% Rye).
