Introducing the Stranahan’s Founder’s Release 12 Year Old, a bold and beautifully aged American Single Malt Whiskey that honors the pioneering spirit of Colorado craftsmanship. This release is a tribute to the roots of Stranahan’s, founded by volunteer firefighter Jess Graber and brewery owner George Stranahan, whose shared love for the Colorado wilderness and quality whiskey gave birth to a legacy in 2004.

Crafted with 100% malted barley and pure Rocky Mountain spring water, this 12-year-old expression represents the peak of small-batch excellence. Aged and finished with a meticulous process that includes time in blonde ale and bourbon barrels, the result is a whiskey that delivers depth, richness, and complexity.

• Nose: Milk chocolate, coffee cream liqueur, peppermint

• Palate: Amaretto, sarsaparilla, flat cherry cola, nutmeg

• Finish: Nutella, bubbly cream soda, clove spice

Craftsmanship & Process:
This whiskey begins with a base of unfinished 12-year-old Stranahan’s. It’s finished in a combination of blonde ale and bourbon casks that once held 10-year-old whiskey, adding up to a rich 12-year aging journey. In a second phase, 8-year-old whiskey is matured in blonde ale barrels for 3 more years, then blended with 11-year-old whiskey finished in bourbon barrels—each element adding complexity and finesse. The final blend is cut to proof with water from Eldorado Springs, ensuring purity and clarity in every sip.
