Description

Milam & Greene The Answer Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey is part of an innovative experiment exploring the impact of climate on bourbon maturation. This whiskey was distilled in Bardstown, Kentucky, and aged in Texas, providing a unique opportunity to compare how two different aging environments influence proof and flavor.

Eight barrels from Lot 19K11 were aged in Texas’ extreme conditions, producing a bourbon with intense, concentrated flavors. Bottled at a bold 58.65% ABV (117.3 proof), this whiskey delivers a rich and complex experience that embodies the essence of Texas bourbon.

Tasting Notes:

  • Aroma: Deep caramel, toasted oak, and hints of dark fruit
  • Taste: Bold vanilla, baking spice, and charred oak with a touch of honey
  • Finish: Long and warming with lingering spice and a dry oak character

  • Neat to appreciate its full-bodied intensity
  • With a few drops of water to unlock additional spice and sweetness
