It is more oaky than I expected but not off putting. It's more of a toasted oak flavor (without the marshmallows) It is very rich and creamy. Chocolate notes for sure. You can feel that it's a 133 proofer but no mouth or throat burn. I know we shouldn't use the word, but it is a smooth sipper. The longer it sets the more vanilla/caramel I get. Damn, this and the Larceny B523 are real top notch bottles this year. Oh and 5 min. after my last sip I get Creme' Brulee'. Nice. After a couple samples and letting the bottle set a couple days there's
so much difference tonight after opening the bottle. Setting here with a friend. This is glorious. I get very little oak but the rich creamy vanilla caramel, chocolate, cherry, almost a plumb note. Wonderful mouth feel and long finish. Tell your people that first impressions may not be the best thing. Get this bottle down to the shoulders and pour yourself a glass with a friend and let it set. This is very delicious!
