La Gritona means “the woman who yells” — a nod to the grito, the celebratory shout of Mexican independence. The tequila lives up to the name quietly: a lightly-rested reposado made in Valle de Guadalupe, Jalisco, by an all-women production team led by master distiller Melly Barajas, from mature highland agave, bottled in hand-blown recycled glass. No caramel color, no additives — just clean agave with a short rest in ex-whiskey barrels, which is why bartenders call it a blanco-drinker's reposado.
