Anniversary of the Caymus Project The release of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 is a significant milestone in the long and illustrious history of Caymus Vineyards. It is a monument to the fifty years of dedication, passion, and family legacy that have been invested in the production of wines that are unsurpassed in their quality. Caymus has been a family-owned and -operated vineyard since 1972, and it has grown from its humble origins into a shining example of excellence in winemaking in the Napa Valley. They have never wavered from their commitment to their heritage. The rich history, tradition, and unrelenting quest of quality that have defined Caymus over the course of several generations are all embodied in this special anniversary edition.

Recognizing the Value of Both Tradition and Innovation:

Beginning with simple tools and the wonderful support of surrounding vineyards, Caymus was established by a family determined to pursue their mission. Chuck Wagner and his parents, Charlie and Lorna Belle, have built Caymus from a modest, family-run enterprise into a known name in the world of wine. Caymus is now joined by the next generation of Wagners, Charlie and Jenny, who continue the heritage of winemaking excellence. Chuck Wagner and his parents started Caymus as a small operation.
