In 1795, the Commonwealth of Kentucky was recognized as the 15th state on the historic 15-star flag, also known as the Star-Spangled Banner Flag. Since then, Kentucky distillers have strived to craft the very finest bourbon whiskey. We continue that tradition today.

This marriage of 7 and 15 year fine aged bourbons is a fitting tribute to over 225 years of Kentucky bourbon craftsmanship. Taste the Spirit of 1795!

What a Great Christmas Present!!

My wife got me this for Christmas this year! I am sorry to say in the hustle and bustle of life I have not heard of this Bourbon. I live in North Carolina and we don't get a LOT of Bourbon's here. From what I read the mash bill is unknown primarily because the components are sourced from several Distilleries. To the review!!

In the nose I am getting some cherry and a distinct hit of rye (so not wheated). I smell the oak and the char. Expected with a 15 year aged product. It is nice!!

In the first taste I am surprised by the sweetness I detect. Of course there is the oak char as well. I get that cherry as well.

In the finish the cherry comes back stronger. but that rye spiciness returns with a peppery overtone. At this point the proof shows itself.

I get mixing this using a combination of mash bills from different distilleries. Great idea! I see this as getting a "mature" taste into a Bourbon while keeping the cost in reasonable check so I like that. For those that judge a Bourbon by the price sticker on the bottle, keep moving. If you dig the flavor, come take this ride!!
