Exploring the Craftsmanship of Paquera Mezcal Barril 200ml
Made from 14-year Barril Agave (Agave karwinskii var.), Paquera Mezcal Barril 200ml is a premium mezcal crafted by producer Luis Juárez in the San Agustín Amatengo Ejutla region. The agave hearts are cooked in a conical earthen oven using mesquite and juniper wood for six days before being crushed using a horse-drawn stone mill. The juice is then fermented in Awewete Wood Barrels with natural fermentation and distilled twice in copper pot stills with a refrescadera. Each batch is 505L in size, with batch number PBR7004 and an alcohol by volume of 46.0%.
