Exploring the Unique Flavors of Stranahan’s Diamond Peak Batch 4

Diamond Peak’s 3rd limited annual release highlights flavors that transcend traditional whiskey. Using a marriage of 6-9 year Stranahan’s American Single Malt Whiskey, the liquid was finished in prized varietals of rum casks from the greater and lesser Antilles of the Caribbean: The Dominican Republic, Barbados, and Martinique. DISTILLATION: Distilled from 100% malted barley and handmade in small batches at the Stranahan’s distillery, Colorado’s first legal distillery since Prohibition. MATURATION: A marriage of six to nine-year-old Stranahan’s American Single Malt Whiskey, initially aged in virgin American Oak Barrels. FINISH: Upon completion of the aging process, the whiskey is transferred into prized varietals of rum casks from the greater and lesser Antilles of the Caribbean, where the liquid is finished. This unique process yields a taste that is rich and complex, blending a myriad of flavors to create an exceptionally smooth profile. CUT: Cut to proof with pristine Rocky Mountain water and non-chill filtered. NOSE: Dried apricot and crème brûlée. PALATE: Bright tropical fruit notes against a brown sugar backdrop. FINISH: Viscous, nuanced sweetness with a hint of cola spice.
