Rare Stash Bourbon #2 by Dustin Poirier is an artful blend of 8.5 year old and 7.5 year straight bourbon whiskies from Tennessee and Indiana. The 8.5 YO is aged in Char #4 white oak barrels, while the 7.5 YO rested in Char #3 white oak barrels. The mash bill on both is 75/21/4. We have bottled Rare Stash Bourbon #2 at 91 proof which magnifies the incredible natural flavors, making the taste and finish the perfect array of extended flavors and soothing heat that makes every sip truly enjoyable.
Tasting Notes:
The nose is rich and slightly sweet with hints of vanilla, oak and caramel.
The first sip fills your palate with flavor followed by a soothing penetrating warmth that lingers with the balanced flavors of vanilla, butterscotch, oak and a hint of chocolate.
